Lámh

At St. Anne’s, we are really enjoying learning Lámh, the Irish sign language system used to support communication. Each week, our wonderful Lámh Leaders demonstrate the “Sign of the Week” during assembly, helping everyone in the school community to learn and use it together. We are also incorporating Lámh into our choir sessions, where we sign along with some of our songs — making our performances even more inclusive and expressive.

To keep everyone engaged, we have created a colourful Lámh display board opposite Louise’s office. It’s a great place to stop by and see the latest signs, helpful tips, and photos of our Lámh Leaders in action. By using Lámh throughout the week, we’re not only building our communication skills but also celebrating inclusion and understanding in St. Anne’s.
